Early Treatment: For beautiful teeth from an early age
Prevention and preventive medicine are becoming more important in many fields – including dentistry. Straight teeth and a good dental function are key prerequisites for healthy teeth, gums and maxillary joints – for a lifetime. For children and young people, straight and good-looking teeth are a sound basis for the development of a self-confident personality!
WHAT AGE SHOULD MY CHILD START?
An initial check-up by an orthodontist is recommended at the age of 4 so that any tooth misalignments can be identified early.
Ideally, malocclusions such as a crossbite or open bite should be treated early. The best time to start orthodontic treatment is between ages of 6 and 9.
The first orthodontic session for a child is advisory only: there is no intervention of any kind, so the child goes away with a positive impression.
